The project is part of the Victorian Governments ‘Big Build’ Social Housing funding scheme. The project will provide affordable and sustainable housing solutions with a focus on setting a benchmark for future social housing projects to combat homelessness within our local communities.

The project comprises construction of a three level community housing project with 49 one and two bedroom apartments, orientated to an internal courtyard providing a dual aspect for occupants.

The building has a range of external cladding materials including brickwork, powder coated metal sheet, fibre cement sheet and perforated metal. Windows
and door frames are powder coated aluminium.

The building structure comprises concrete floor slabs , steel trusses and beams . Internal walls of the complex are constructed using a proprietary fibre
cement permanent formwork system.

Implementation of a range of value management initiatives to meet budget constraints. These included , joinery, light fittings, appliances floor finishes and structure.

Construction works to be undertaken in a manner that minimises disruption/inconvenience to the adjacent residents and surrounding neighbours given the relatively narrow roadway.
