Devco Project & Construction Management operates within a culture of dignity, respect, consideration and commitment. We have developed an approach to our projects that is based on a responsive partnership with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Our management systems provide us with the operational framework and terms of reference to deliver projects in this collaborative manner.

Devco directly employs over 60 staff from a wide range of backgrounds providing a rich cultural diversity in the workplace that has contributed the success of the company for over the past three decades.

Employee development & training

Devco’s greatest asset is the commitment and skill of its workforce. Devco emphasises teamwork in task assessment, planning, and implementation. By fostering and improving staff capabilities through continuous professional development, motivation and job satisfaction is maintained.

Devco’s Corporate Responsibility program is an important element of the organisation’s strategy. At the heart of our approach to corporate responsibility is the notion of ‘creating a mutual benefit’ for Devco, our Client’s, and stakeholders. Our social purpose is a long term commitment to create mutual benefit for the communities and organisations to which we provide services.

Every day we help citizens, communities, businesses and government through our construction projects, fulfilling our purpose to help our people, customers through the built form. The Corporate Responsibility Policy that underpins this approach provides for clear accountability in meeting the program’s goals and objectives. Corporate responsibility is embedded and integrated across the organisation through business and operational procedures.

Devco have undertaken over one hundred community/civic projects including, library buildings, Community Centres/Hubs, Sporting Facilities, social housing, CFA facilities, schools, aged care and Community Childcare.

Devco’s business operations are centred on building community facilities, and as such have contributed to employment, the environment and have had a significant social impact to communities through the construction of community projects.

Devco have worked with a range of architects, consultants and Clients across a range of building types and market sectors. This experience has enabled our teams to develop a unique understanding of the requirements placed upon building contractors working in an operational environment that is particular to each market sector.

As such Devco have established credentials as industry leaders in terms of build quality, customer service and construction management by working with consultant teams and Client’s to deliver the final built form to the highest quality.
