CASSIA HOUSE – AGED CARE FACILITY

The works comprise an 1,800 m2 extension and1,029 m2 refurbishment within the Cassia House aged care facility. The project has six separable portions and was undertaken to minimise impact on residents, staff and visitors and on the facility operations.

Works included:

  • Improvements works to kitchen and laundry loading dock
  • Installation of backup power (generator)
  • Public amenities upgrade
  • Conversion of double rooms to single rooms with ensuites
  • Conversion of shared ensuites to single room ensuites

The external works include a dementia sensory garden to encourage sensory stimulation for dementia and memory-impaired residents.
