SAN CARLO HOME FOR THE AGED

Alterations and additions works to the San Carlo Home for the Aged included
16 new beds with separate amenities; and extensive refurbishment of existing
priests and nuns quarters, and the dementia ward.

The staged refurbishment of an 18 bed dementia ward and associated facilities included the main entrance foyer, reception, staff quarters, dining and lounge areas on the ground level, with a hairdressing salon and meeting rooms on the second level. The building upgrades included internal wall modifications to comply with building code requirements and the installation of a new lift to address access compliance.

External works included the demolition and relocation of an asphalt car park as well as extensive landscaping works to the entry forecourt. The Infrastructure works included installation of a new fire service ring main and pumping station.

Minimal impact of construction activities on the retirement village operations and residents.
