NMIT Technical Education Centre
Construction of new trade training workshop facilities with over 2000m2 floor area for building construction, electronics and engineering with administrative offices, cafeteria, staff amenities, classrooms and car parking for 100 vehicles.
Environmental initiatives include a full Building Management System and thermal chimneys exhausting hot air at night through ventilation louvres. The curved facade acts as an environmental filter whilst the inner façade incorporates passive ventilation and natural lighting.
The Technical Education Centre delivers pre-apprentices and prevocational courses in bricklaying, cabinet making, carpentry, painting, furniture, plumbing and shop fitting.
