The new state-of-the-art library has 1027m2 of floor area comprising two community meeting spaces, a technology room, and a café with central courtyard. The library operates with a large collection of resources in various formats including books, magazines, DVDs/CDs and talking books.

The library has environmentally sustainable initiatives including above ground tanks harvesting rainwater from the library roof for flushing toilets, solar panels supplying the grid to off-set power costs.

The building management system controls artificial lighting, awnings to regulate natural light/heat and louvres that purge hot air at night.
