CFA WORKSHOP, EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING CENTRE
Construction of a District Mechanical Officers (DMO) and State Personal Protective Equipment & Clothing Management Centre (PPE&C). The facility improves the ability of CFA to manage the maintenance of the Fire Fighting Appliances and associated emergency vehicles together with the growing and diverse range of personal protective equipment and clothing.
The new DMO facility includes six full bay workshop, wash bay, store, fabrication area, offices, communications room, cleaner’s store and services the needs of CFA Regions in the South West.
The new PPE&C Facility services the CFA across Victoria, and includes offices, loading dock, internal washing/drying room, test laboratory, contaminated equipment quarantine area, atmospheric monitoring calibration area, hydro testing area, plant and bulk store. The facility includes an internal monorail conveyor system for the movement of equipment and protective clothing.
The two facilities have shared amenities including a reception foyer, meeting room, kitchen/lunchroom, male, female, disabled toilets and showers. Landscaping, extensive heavy duty concrete driveways, staff car park and services including rainwater storage tanks, oil storage tanks and pump test pit.
