Community centre with an integrated family centre comprising early years learning, maternal & child health consulting suites and a small office are. The project has achieved 5 Star Green Star accreditation and sustainability initiatives include:
CO2 monitoring and control to 800ppm ensures a basic minimum standard of air quality
BMS System (with incorporated Smart Meters).
Fitout /finishes selected with low VOC & formaldehyde content.
54kW rooftop solar panel array, battery storage room to accommodate batteries for half a day’s energy needs.
Rainwater collection stored in 40kL tanks, UV treatment and reuse in toilet/urinal flushing and for water turf areas through a sub-soil drip irrigation system.
Energy efficient LED lighting & occupancy sensor controls.
Hydronic in-screed heating for some spaces to reduce fan energy use while delivering better occupant comfort at a reduced air temperature set point (19 degrees in winter) .
The project is mechanically ventilated throughout using VAV fan coil unit systems. Most areas are mixed mode therefore can be operated in a natural ventilation mode.
