Redevelopment of an existing primary school into the junior school campus of the Mount Waverley Secondary College. The project required the partial demolition, refurbishment, and extension to the existing structure and construction of a new building.
The facilities have a total floor area of 2,000m2 and include learning neighborhoods that host a variety of learning spaces and library, supported by specialist teaching facilities including science, visual arts, materials and food technology.
Sustainability initiatives for the project included electronically controlled cross-ventilation, internal thermal mass walls for passive thermal comfort and south light through clerestory glazing.
