The project scope includes the partial demolition of an existing court, and construction of a 5,480m2 extension/refurbishment of the existing Centre. The project adds five additional courts and increases the Centre to a ten court basketball/netball facility.
The project scope required the installation of a kiosk sub-station, and the de-commissioning of an existing substation located within the new building footprint.
The overall complex has a high level of patronage with numerous recreational facilities which must remain in operation throughout construction. Construction will need to be undertaken in a manner that is as least invasive as possible with interruptions to services and other operations kept to an absolute minimum.
The extension works will include:
City of Casey
High quality finishes in keeping with design intent.
New courts built to international standards.
Engagement with centre management to minimise the impact of construction activities on centre operations.
Co-ordination with the various specialist equipment suppliers including retractable seating.
