NASH EDUCATION CENTRE – PARADE COLLEGE
The project includes the partial demolition of the ground level and basement structure, refurbishment and additions. The new three-level building includes open learning at ground level and four open learning areas with a central project hub on the upper level which has stair and lift access. The basement level comprises storage, staff areas and amenities. Works include infrastructure upgrade to the sub-station and main switchboard supplying the campus.
The building has a concrete ground floor slab supported with precast panels and in-situ concrete columns. The upper levels are steel framed with the floor supported on pre-cast panels and steel columns.
The building exterior features arched patterned pre-cast concrete with copper alucobond lining and curved patterned decorative glass. The interior has a vaulted timber ceiling and feature wall panelling.
The external finishes are a combination of masonry, pre-finished compressed sheet, metal cladding, perforated metal panels and aluminium louvres. There are bespoke timber window frames with extensive use of internally laminated wall panelling.
